Ice is an extremely potent synthetic stimulant and like its sister drug, speed, is an amphetamine. The difference between Ice and speed/base is the way it is made. Ice most often appears as transparent “sheet like” crystals which may have a blue, green or pink tinge.
One of the critical facts about Ice is that it is highly addictive, even through smoking. Adding to the danger is the fact that there is no way of knowing exactly what’s in it.
Premature ageing, damaged teeth, and skin lesions are some of the more visible effects of Ice on longer-term users. There is also a higher risk of stroke, decreased lung function and poorer cognitive function.
